The First Austrian Philharmonic Platinum Coin was first minted in 2016. Each coin is 999.5 fine platinum and legal tender with a face value of 100 Euro. Inspired by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the obverse depicts a variety of musical instruments from the Orchestra. The Great Pipe Organ in Vienna's Golden Concert Hall, home of the Philharmonics is pictured on the obverse. Each coin is struck with the fine silver content, weight, denomination and year of issue.
