Ask The Expert - Ted Butler, The Manipulation Continues

By admin 5 years ago 1029 Views 1 comment

Last week, right before the FED Taper announcement, I had the pleasure of interviewing Ted Butler. Ted Butler is an independent silver analyst who has published unique precious metals commentaries on the internet since 1996. He is the head of Butler Research LLC, where he offers a subscription service of weekly commentaries, including detailed analysis of the Commitment of Traders Report, regulatory developments, supply and demand considerations, and topics of interest to investors in precious metals, with an emphasis on silver.

Throughout the course of this interview, Ted discussed a number of pressing matter that are currently affecting the precious metals market. Ted is predominately a silver bug, so keep this in mind when listening to the interview. A sample of the questions I was able to ask Ted are as follows:

  • JP Morgan has been a prime manipulator in the precious metals market. Until recently, this manipulation has always been to the downside. It now appears that they have cornered the market to the upside. What do you believe JP Morgan’s incentive is for doing this?

  • Do you believe that defaults (Referring to the COMEX) need to occur before we can see the true price of physical gold and silver?

  • Do you believe that they’re working with JP Morgan? The CFTC?

  • What do you see happening to precious metals over the remainder of this year and in the long-term?

Ted makes it quite clear that he believes the system is highly manipulated. This, I believe, is becoming increasingly more clear as each scandal passes without so much as a blink of the eye from regulators. Will silver one day break free of the shackles placed on it by JP Morgan? Or are they destined to manipulate the market forever? Listen to the interview to find out Ted Butler’s point of view.
